Glasair Wing Rotation Jig

This tip was submitted by Jerry Shilt.

glasair-wing-rotation-jigThe picture is of some jigs I made to rotate the wing by myself and as you can see it is not fancy but worked very well as it is very stable and can be rotated by one person. The picture is not very good but I think you can see how it is made—it requires some cross braces and is made from one sheet of 4X8  5/8″ plywood. I located it just outboard of the gear well and was able to get to all the open areas to fiberglass after the wing was closed and removed from the building jig.

I am just finishing up the flaps and am looking forward to mating the wing to the fuselage and making it look like an airplane.
