Recently I have received several inquiries about the engineering of the aft baggage door for the GlaStar. I have responded that there will not be any engineering report for this modification, but I can provide GlaStar owners with some confidence: Evidence that the initial fuselage tests for the Sportsman fuselage loads were conducted with a stock GlaStar fuselage with the larger baggage door crudely cut out. While there were beef-ups necessary with the cage, the GlaStar fiberglass shell showed no signs of strain or distress at the Sportsman ultimate loads.

In addition, we now have evidence of a GlaStar fuselage that I modified in Africa last August with a full year of rugged mountain strip flying under its belt.
