Al Sibley provided this mod for a storage compartment hat sits under the instrument panel on the center tunnel.
Others might have already done something like this about the need for a small accessible storage space in the GlaStar, but in case it is new, I am sending my solution along to you for evaluation.
I have devised a simple yet useful box to store maps, etc. needed in cross country flying.
It uses otherwise wasted space in the center of the cabin between the instrument panel and the center console control cable cover. Made of 1/4″ foam panels filled with Qcell mix and covered with one layer of bi-directional cloth and assembled into a box form with 1″ strips of cloth.
It fits snugly over the center console just in front of the fuel shut-off valve and is secured in place with a single strip of velcro.
