If you are experiencing high oil pressure readings, the problem may be a result of where the oil pressure is being picked up on the engine accessory case. If it is from the left side close to the oil pump outlet, the pressure will read high. Lycoming specifies picking up oil pressure from the right side just below the right upper engine mount, on the accessory case.
