Fairly Simple GlaStar Fairing

Submitted by Rollin Hatfield, GlaStar

Here is another use for a rudder tip fairing (P/N 301-00015-03) — as a tailwheel spring fairing. It fits with very little trimming. It is fastened at the forward end with a ‘U’ bracket under the forward spring attach point and at the aft end with a long screw that goes between the spring and the fuselage shell. The fairing should be trimmed to fit around the aft spring attach brackets and under the spring with no weight on the tailwheel.
