Elevator Counter Weight
Sanded trailing edge of horizontal stabilizer straight and even for both halves. Prepared the table for the jig, measured the lines for the ribs. Jigged the stabilizer to the table with body putty and installed the blocks to keep the rear shearweb in place. We are now ready to install the rear shearweb.
I finished jigging the horizontal stabilizer and bonded the stabilizer spar.
Bonded endcaps to horizontal stab outboard ends. Bonded endcaps to inboard edges of elevators.

Last 4 days work: Leveled the horizontal stabilizer in the jig. Had to knock off some of the leading edge shims in order to make the horizontal stabilizer chord line level. Don't bondo any shims in place until you have the upper horizontal stabilizer surface chord line accurate on the jig. Bonded shear web in place.
Trimmed horizontal trailing edges to allow clearance for 30 degree up and 22 degree down elevator travel.

My brother helped me today. We drilled a drain hole in each rib, bonded the ribs, bonded the NAV antenna and closed the horizontal stabilizer. This photo was taken just prior to closing.
